Palomo embarked this morning on his long journey to Florida. I was sad to ready him for this trip, but I know that Jamie will take good care of him and he and Endel will work hard to find him the right match. We will both miss him.
I rode Marcos and Filigree this morning and then worked Vesper on the longe line and at liberty. A few days off was bad for all three of them. Marcos thought he wanted to take off running. (He cannot run very fast; he’s really rather pathetic.) Filigree has a tendency to come behind the vertical so I decided to try her in an even gentler bit. She found this to be a marvelous idea and was very sassy and naughty, bucking and rearing (fortunately, she is not talented in either category). Vesper is like a giant marshmallow. We have had her on a diet and she has lost some weight, but she needs to increase her physical fitness.
I, too, need the daily rides. I see in photos that my position still needs to improve. My hip flexors needs to be more flexible so that my hip angle is more open and my leg is more in line with me. This is a job for The Terra to help me with.
We all survived and will be back to work again tomorrow. My stats are below.
First Marcos:
Below is my Filigree ride:
Andrew and I are also hitting the gym later this afternoon, so I may add a third report if we do that.
Until then, I will leave you with a few horsey photos from today. It was a beautiful morning.
